Impacting Panama and the World one child at a time through Christ-Centered Education

 

Doulos Christian Academy is a preschool and grade school.

We began in April 2009 with 4 teachers and 23 students, preschool to 7th grade. In 2010 we had 56 students and in2011 we started the school year with 87 students.

Our goal is to offer a quality Christian education to disciple the children and youth of the district and surrounding areas of Chilibre/Panama and give an option to missionary children working in this area of Panama.

We use an English curriculum, with additional classes in Spanish (Panamanian History, Social Studies and Spanish). We are also able to offer Mandarin as a Second Lan-guage at every level. We realize that it is the parent's responsibility to educate their children (Deut. 4:9, Deut. 6:7). So our role is, to serve the parents, helping strengthen, promote, and encourage the Christian principles vital for true knowledge and education.

Christian education is not an alternative, luxury or just a good idea, it is the Law of God. It is the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission in one.

Matthew 22:37-40 "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." All the Law and the Prophets hand on these two commandments. (NIV)

Matthew 28:18-20 All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (NIV) You can not love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind if you have not been taught about Him. It is also impossible to work in the Great Commission if you have not been discipled and taught about God.
